This cobra-in-a-basket scatter piece is a beautifully detailed terrain miniature that brings instant atmosphere to any encounter. A hooded cobra rears back with its mouth open wide, mid-strike, rising from a tightly woven round basket surrounded by dry desert scrub and rocky crystal formations. The sculpt captures every scale on the snake's hood, every woven strand of the basket, and every jagged shard of arid ground cover — the kind of detail that makes players lean in for a closer look and then immediately regret doing so.
Whether you're running a sun-scorched bazaar, a cursed temple antechamber, or a snake cult's inner sanctum, this piece earns its place on the table. It works equally well as a decorative display piece for painted collections — the composition is dynamic enough to hold its own on any shelf.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Are building desert, market, or ancient temple encounter maps
- Need a memorable environmental hazard or trap token
- Want scatter terrain that doubles as a display piece
- Are running encounters featuring yuan-ti, snake cults, or desert factions
- Love painting detailed creature and environment pieces
Encounter Hook:
The party has tracked the yuan-ti priest to a street market in the city of Memnon. Halfway through negotiating with a spice merchant, the rogue notices that one of the decorative baskets nearby has no merchant tending it — and the cobra inside is not chained. The priest is already gone. The snake is not.
