Description

Ancient and inscrutable, the Couatl descends from the heavens on feathered wings — a divine messenger whose mercy and judgement are equally absolute.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Couatl occupies a fascinating space in D&D lore: a Celestial of serpentine form, feathered like a god-bird of legend, and possessed of an intelligence that far outstrips most creatures adventurers will ever face. This sculpt by Mia Kay M3DM captures that duality beautifully — the great coiled body spiralling upward, broad wings spread wide as though caught mid-descent, and a crested draconic head raised with unmistakable authority. The layered feather and scale detailing across every section of the body rewards close attention, whether you're seating it on a display shelf or placing it across the battlemat from a very nervous party.

As a gaming piece it reads instantly — there is no mistaking this creature for anything other than a being of immense power and divine purpose. As a display miniature, the dynamic coiling pose gives it real presence, making it a centrepiece rather than a supporting piece. Adventurers who love painting will find the overlapping feathers and scaled underbelly give excellent depth for layering and drybrushing alike.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Run celestial-themed encounters or divine intervention moments in their campaigns
  • Need a memorable guardian for a sacred temple, lost jungle ruin, or forgotten shrine
  • Collect D&D 5e monster miniatures and want their Celestials represented in style
  • Enjoy detailed, characterful sculpts that reward careful painting

Encounter Hook:
The party has broken the seal on the Vault of the Sunken God — and before they can reach the artefact inside, a Couatl materialises from a shaft of golden light, blocking their path. It does not attack. It speaks. It knows every lie each of them has told in the last tenday, and it is waiting to see if they have the courage — and the honesty — to deserve what lies behind it.
