Closed Coffin by Mia Kay M3DM
Description
Someone has gone to great lengths to seal this coffin shut — and whatever lies within has no intention of staying that way.
- ✔ Resin terrain piece, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
- ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
- ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama
This Closed Coffin scatter terrain piece is sculpted with a beautifully weathered stone texture across both the lid and the sides, with deeply carved vertical striations running the full length of the body. The lid features a raised cross motif framed by angular, geometric detailing — giving it the feel of an ancient burial from a long-forgotten faith. Whether it sits in a crumbling crypt beneath a ruined temple or at the centre of a cursed graveyard encounter, it carries the right weight of foreboding.
Sized to complement 32mm miniatures, this coffin works equally well as functional battlefield scatter — providing line-of-sight blocking and cover — or as a centrepiece prop in a graveyard diorama or gothic display shelf. It arrives ready to prime and paint, with all that textured stone surface just waiting for a wash and a drybrush to bring it to life.
Adventurers who will love this piece:
- Dungeon Masters staging graveyard, crypt, or undead-themed encounters
- Players running gothic horror campaigns such as Ravenloft or Curse of Strahd
- Painters and collectors building atmospheric diorama displays
- Anyone who wants their battle map to tell a story before a single die is rolled
Encounter Hook:
The party has been tasked with retrieving a signet ring buried with a nobleman three decades ago. The tomb is silent, the coffin sealed — but as the rogue slides the lid aside, the inscription on the inner face reads: Do not wake me before my time. The time is now.
Scaled to 32mm. Arrives as a single piece attached to its base, ready to prime and paint or use straight from the box. Some minor marks from the printing process are possible; these are easily addressed with light sanding before painting.
