Clockwork Dog 02 by Mia Kay M3DM
Description
Its gears still turn. Its orders still stand. Whatever master it once served is long gone — but the clockwork hound does not acknowledge such things as endings.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This is the second sculpt in our Clockwork Dog range by Mia Kay M3DM, and it's a striking one. Where the first pose leans into motion and aggression, this seated variant carries a different kind of menace — the patient, watchful stillness of a construct that has been waiting for a very long time. The sculpt is packed with mechanical detail: interlocking armour plates across the back and haunches, exposed gear clusters at the shoulder and forelegs, segmented piston-driven limbs, and a pressure valve rising from the spine. The head is alert and forward-facing, ears upright, every panel suggesting something engineered to last centuries rather than years.
Whether you're running an artificer's workshop encounter, a lost automatons dungeon, or a steampunk-inflected campaign, this construct brings immediate character to the table. It's equally at home on a display shelf alongside painted steampunk or Eberron-themed pieces — the kind of sculpt that draws the eye from across the room.
Well-suited for adventurers who:
- Need a construct guardian, familiar, or enemy encounter for D&D 5e or other TTRPGs
- Are running Eberron, steampunk, or magitech-themed campaigns
- Want a companion mini for an Artificer or Wizard player character
- Collect display miniatures with strong mechanical or steampunk aesthetics
- Are building an animated constructs encounter set and want varied poses
Encounter Hook:
The party discovers the hound seated at the centre of a collapsed vault, surrounded by a century of dust. It tracks their movement with mechanical precision but does not attack — it is waiting for a passphrase that died with its creator. The question is whether they can find it before someone loses their nerve and rolls for initiative.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model with the scenic base comes as a single attached piece. The model with a plain base is supplied with the base detached for easy gluing. Arrives ready for priming and painting, or use straight from the box as an unpainted display piece.
