Description

It hasn't moved in three centuries, yet its eyes still glow — and the moment you touch the vault door, you understand why.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Clockwork Cat is a beautifully unsettling construct: a feline form clad head to tail in articulated plate armour, riveted and segmented across every limb, with blank glowing eyes that suggest something ancient still watches from within. Whether it was crafted by a long-dead artificer as a loyal guardian or repurposed by some arcane faction with murkier intentions, this miniature carries the quiet menace of a machine that has never once forgotten its purpose.

In D&D 5e terms it slots neatly into any Construct encounter — a guardian for a wizard's tower, a relic animating in a forgotten ruin, or even a familiar for an Artificer PC who prefers their companions a little less mortal. The seated, alert pose conveys patient readiness rather than aggression, which makes it equally at home on a display shelf as it does on the battlefield grid.

A fine addition for adventurers who:

  • Run artificer-themed campaigns or arcane laboratory encounters
  • Need a Construct NPC that reads as intelligent rather than merely mechanical
  • Want a display piece that rewards a close-up paint job — the riveted plate and segmented tail offer excellent detail for highlighting
  • Play or DM adventures where ancient guardians and creator-forged mysteries drive the story

Encounter Hook:
The party's map marks this chamber as empty. It isn't. Seated at the centre of the room is an armoured cat, motionless and silent — until the rogue reaches for the sealed chest. Its eyes flare white. It doesn't attack. It simply speaks, in a voice like grinding gears: "The artificer's terms were clear. You may leave. You may not take."

Details

This miniature is printed at 32mm scale and comes as a single piece attached to a round base. The sculpt is rich in surface detail — the overlapping armour plates, rivet work, and segmented tail all hold paint exceptionally well for both tabletop gaming and display collecting.
