Clio Bill is a medieval peasant NPC miniature with a presence that far exceeds her social station. Sculpted by Atlanticus Arts, she stands with both hands planted firmly on her hips, chin lifted, and a gaze that suggests she's already decided she doesn't entirely trust the party. Her layered working dress is richly detailed — a coarse-woven underskirt, a gathered grey-blue overdress, and a lace-up bodice with a small belt pouch — topped with a linen head wrap and a long blonde braid falling over one shoulder. This is a woman who has survived hard harvests, suspicious lords, and probably at least one dragon attack on the village, and she looks it.
Whether she's the reluctant quest-giver who knows exactly where the missing grain went, a sharp-tongued local contact with more information than she's letting on, or simply the first face the party sees when they ride into a new settlement, Clio brings immediate character to any scene. She's equally at home on the tabletop as a named NPC and on a display shelf as a showcase of what high-detail historical fantasy sculpting can look like at 32mm.
A good fit for adventurers who:
- Need a memorable, expressive peasant or commoner NPC for village encounters
- Are running campaigns with a grounded, low-fantasy or historical-medieval tone
- Want a female NPC miniature with genuine personality rather than a generic pose
- Enjoy painting layered fabric textures and realistic facial expressions
- Are building out a complete settlement scene for display or campaign use
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives in Millhaven to find the village elder missing — but Clio Bill, the miller's wife, is already waiting at the gate. Arms crossed, jaw set, she tells them in no uncertain terms that she knows who took him and where they've gone, but she won't say a word until they swear on something they actually value. She's been burned by adventurers before.
Details
Clio Bill is available at 32mm scale for tabletop play or 54mm scale for display-sized painting projects. The miniature comes with a separate scenic base — wood-plank textured at 32mm — which attaches easily with superglue. Each piece is printed to a high standard with fine surface detail; supports are removed prior to dispatch, and every miniature goes through our quality check before it leaves the studio.
