Description

Something ancient and relentless hauls itself from the fetid water, tentacles writhing, claws spread wide — the Chuul does not hunt for sport, it hunts because it must.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Chuul is one of D&D's most unsettling aberrations: a crustacean horror of enormous size, part lobster, part nightmare, with a writhing mass of paralysing tentacles where its mouth should be. This sculpt by MZ4250 captures the creature mid-stalk — its body low and predatory, those massive serrated claws extended and ready to seize. The segmented carapace, ridged limbs, and tentacled face are all rendered with serious anatomical detail, making this a miniature that genuinely unsettles at the table. This is the second pose in the MZ4250 Chuul range, offering a distinct silhouette from the first variant — worth considering both if you're running an encounter with multiple Chuuls lurking in the shallows.

Equally at home prowling Underdark waterways, lurking in coastal sea caves, or serving as the guardian of some drowned ruin, the Chuul is a monster that demands a miniature worthy of the dread it inspires. This one delivers.

A great fit for adventurers who:

  • Run Underdark or aquatic encounters and want a genuinely menacing centrepiece creature
  • Need a Large-category aberration to challenge a mid-tier party
  • Collect D&D monster miniatures across the official bestiary
  • Paint for display and want a sculpt full of carapace and texture detail

Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to retrieve a merchant's cargo from a sunken barge on the river Ashenveil — but as the ranger wades in to check the hull, the water erupts. Two Chuuls have claimed this stretch of river as their feeding ground, and they haven't eaten in three days.

Details

Printed at 32mm scale and supplied as a single piece attached to a round base. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with any high-detail resin print, minor surface marks may occasionally occur and are easily tidied up before painting. Comes fully cured and ready to prime.
