Description

Something vast and chitinous hauls itself from the brackish water, its crushing claws spread wide and its writhing face-tentacles already tasting the air for prey.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The chuul is one of D&D's most unsettling ambush predators — part crustacean, part eldritch nightmare, and entirely relentless. This sculpt captures the creature mid-stalk: six articulated legs braced and ready, two enormous serrated claws raised in threat display, and that deeply unsettling mass of oral tentacles poised to paralyse anything unfortunate enough to survive the initial grab. The segmented carapace is rendered with excellent surface detail, giving painters plenty of texture to work with — from the plated abdomen to the ridged claw edges.

At 32mm scale, this is a weighty presence on the board. Whether you're running a coastal ambush, an Underdark waterway, or a temple flooded by ancient curses, the chuul demands the table's attention the moment it hits the mat.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Run encounters in marshes, flooded ruins, or Underdark waterways
  • Need a visually distinctive Aberration to anchor a set-piece combat
  • Enjoy painting complex carapace textures and alien creature anatomy
  • Collect standout monster minis for display as well as play

Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to investigate a series of disappearances along the canal district — merchants, dock workers, a city watch patrol. The trail leads to a flooded undercroft beneath a merchant warehouse, where a chuul has established its lair and begun stockpiling paralysed victims for reasons the party will find deeply uncomfortable to discover.

Details

Printed at 32mm scale and supplied as a single piece attached to a round base. Supports are removed prior to dispatch, though as with all high-detail resin work, minor marks may occasionally be present — these are easily tidied with a fine file or blade. The miniature arrives fully cured and ready to prime.
