This is no ordinary undead spellcaster. The Chrono Lich is a lich who has transcended conventional necromancy, binding its phylactery to time itself. The sculpt captures this brilliantly: a skeletal figure in flowing robes, crowned with a jagged spiked diadem, one bony hand gripping a tall staff topped with an ornate hourglass, the other outstretched and holding what appears to be a pocket watch — as though weighing the exact moment of your characters' destruction. The hollow, glowing eyes and exposed ribcage visible beneath tattered robes give this figure an undeniable presence, whether it's commanding a battle map or anchoring a display shelf.
For Dungeon Masters, the Chrono Lich opens up a wealth of narrative possibilities: a villain who has already witnessed every possible future of the current campaign, an ancient archivist who refuses to let history proceed as written, or the mastermind behind a city where time has been fractured and looped for centuries. The detail in this sculpt — the clock-face belt buckle, the layered robes, the deliberate elegance of the pose — rewards careful painting and looks striking straight off the base.
Particularly well-suited for adventurers who:
- Need a commanding campaign boss or final-arc villain for a D&D 5e or other TTRPG campaign
- Are building a time-manipulation, chronomancy, or planar-travel themed adventure arc
- Collect undead and lich miniatures for display or competitive painting projects
- Want a character with genuine narrative weight on the table, not just on a stat block
Encounter Hook:
The party discovers that every critical decision they've made in the last three sessions was foreseen — and recorded in a tome the Chrono Lich hands them with a skeletal grin. "I've been waiting for this moment for four hundred years," it says, turning the hourglass upside down. "You have until the sand runs out to change what happens next."
Details
Printed at 32mm scale and supplied as a single piece attached to a plain round base, ready for priming and painting or immediate use on the table. As with all our high-detail resin prints, minor support marks may occasionally be present — these are easily tidied up before painting.
