This is no whimsical storybook creature. The Cheshire Cat sculpted by Great Grimoire is a predator wrapped in fairy-tale skin: a muscular, spectral feline form surging forward on a wave of twisted bark and roots, jaws stretched impossibly wide to reveal rows of savage teeth and a grotesque lolling tongue. Its hollow, feral eyes suggest not mischief but hunger — the kind that has been patient for centuries. The flowing ghostly tail and mushroom-scattered base anchor it firmly in the darker reaches of the Feywild, where beauty and menace are two sides of the same glamour.

For Dungeon Masters, this mini reads immediately as a boss-tier encounter or a recurring enigmatic threat — the sort of entity that vanishes between trees and leaves only the echo of laughter. It also makes a remarkable display piece for collectors drawn to the intersection of folklore and horror. Unpainted grey resin straight from the render, the crisp detail across the musculature, bark base, and facial expression rewards careful painting with washes and wet blending.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Run Feywild campaigns or encounters with a dark, unsettling tone
  • Need a memorable boss monster or recurring supernatural antagonist
  • Want a folklore-horror showpiece for their display shelf
  • Are working through a painting project that demands expressive detail

Encounter Hook:
The party has been following the merchant's road through the Murmuring Wood for two days when they realise the trees have rearranged themselves behind them. A low chuckle drifts through the canopy — and then the grin appears first, suspended in the shadows between branches, far too wide for any natural creature's face. Whatever it is, it knows their names.
