Muscles is a towering chemtech experiment made flesh and iron in equal measure. A broad-shouldered bruiser encased in spiked plated armour, he lurches forward with a predator's low centre of gravity — one arm mechanical and coil-wrapped, the other bare and reaching, as though the transformation is still in progress. A skull-embossed belt and layered armour skirt speak to a warrior's past; the tangle of thick pipes arcing over his shoulders and into a reinforced helm speak to a far darker present. Whoever built him knew exactly what they were doing. Whether Muscles does is another question entirely.
From the Cogs of Revolution collection by DM Stash, this sculpt captures a character that sits at the crossroads of brute enforcer and tragic creation — equally at home as a BBEG lieutenant, a faction's prized weapon, or a creature the party might yet find a way to reach. Whether you're running a steampunk-inflected campaign, a criminal underworld encounter, or a mad artificer's lair, Muscles brings immediate visual weight to the table. He's equally compelling as a display piece for adventurers who love the grimdark aesthetic.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a physically imposing boss encounter or enforcer-type enemy NPC
- Are building artificer-themed dungeons, alchemical labs, or revolutionary faction conflicts
- Want a centrepiece miniature that rewards detailed painting — the piping, armour plates, and helm are all rich with contrast opportunities
- Collect display pieces with a steampunk or chemtech aesthetic
Encounter Hook:
The revolutionary council said the subject volunteered. The party finds a journal in the abandoned laboratory that suggests otherwise — and now Muscles is standing between them and the only exit, fists flexing, tubes hissing, waiting for the order that may never come.
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and base are separate pieces — attach with super glue. The decorative base is designed to complement the sculpt and is well worth using as part of the finished piece. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all hand-finished pieces, minor marks may occasionally remain and can be cleaned up with a craft knife or fine file.
