Charon Greek Pin-Up by Mia Kay M3DM

Before a single soul crosses the river Styx, it must first pass the judgement of Charon — and the ferryman is in no hurry to be merciful.

This sculpt reimagines Charon — the ancient Greek ferryman of the underworld — as a powerfully built, bare-chested figure draped in flowing cloth, his expression composed with the cold certainty of one who has witnessed every mortal end. In his raised hand he holds a skull aloft, a grim trophy or omen, while his other hand grips a tall, ornately carved pole: the ferryman's oar reimagined as a weapon of office. His long hair falls loosely around his shoulders, and his feet stand amid a scatter of bones and skulls worked directly into the sculpted scenic base — silent evidence of the countless souls that have passed before.

The sculpt carries a classical Greek mythological energy — athletic, dramatic, and deliberate — while the skull and pole give Dungeon Masters plenty to work with. He reads equally convincingly as a divine psychopomp, a death cult leader, a Shadowfell river-warden, or a uniquely themed Warlock patron made flesh. Painters will find the musculature, flowing cloth, and skull-strewn base offer a rewarding range of textures to work across.

This miniature suits adventurers who:

• Want a mythologically grounded underworld encounter or divine-tier NPC
• Are running Greek mythology-inspired campaigns or Planescape-adjacent settings
• Need a commanding death-domain figure to anchor a Shadowfell or Avernus encounter
• Appreciate display-quality sculpts with strong narrative presence
• Are building out a painted collection of gods, psychopomps, or planar gatekeepers

Encounter Hook

The party's only route across the Sunless River requires the blessing of its warden — a figure who demands not coin, but a secret, offered willingly. He raises the skull of the last traveller who tried to bargain and smiles for the first time in centuries. What will your adventurers offer?
