This is a proper centrepiece miniature. The Chaos Red Dragon Ancient fills a gargantuan 102mm base and dominates every inch of the table it occupies. The sculpt captures the creature mid-presence — powerful haunches braced on shattered stone, one great wing arched high and wide like a sail catching hellish winds, the other curled behind as the dragon pivots its horned, snarling head. Every surface tells a story: overlapping scales layered across the body like ancient armour, ribbed wing membranes stretched taut between hooked fingers, and a barbed tail coiling out across the base rubble. The head is heavily horned and unmistakably ancient — thick ridges crown the brow, and the jaw carries the kind of set that suggests it has swallowed armies whole and found them disappointing.
This is a multipart kit — the wings and body assemble together to form the finished model, allowing for crisp detail across the full wingspan without compromise. The result, once together, is a model that earns its place at the centre of any climactic encounter or atop any display shelf worth the name.
