Theubian is a warrior of terrifying presence. Clad in layered scale armour etched with serpentine motifs, a sweeping war-cloak billowing behind him, he strides forward with an ornate curved blade raised — a weapon that speaks of ceremony as much as slaughter. His full-faced visored helm conceals whatever expression lies beneath, lending him the cold, unknowable quality of a true champion who has long since stopped needing to show his face to be feared. The rubble and scattered skulls at his feet suggest a battlefield already won.
From the DM Stash Elves of the Golden Sun collection, Theubian sits beautifully at the intersection of elven grace and martial brutality. He works equally well as a high-ranking serpent cult enforcer, an ancient elven warlord returned from exile, or the lethal champion your players have been warned about since session one. On a display shelf, the sculptural detail — particularly the scale-work armour and the dramatic sweep of his cloak — makes him a centrepiece worth painting with care.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Need a named champion, rival, or final guardian for an elven or serpent-cult storyline
- Are building an elven warrior player character with a martial or oath-bound backstory
- Want a high-detail display piece from the Elves of the Golden Sun range
- Are running a campaign with ancient civilisations, serpent gods, or fallen elven empires
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the threshold of the Sunspire — a towering elven ruin sealed for three centuries — only to find it already open. Standing in the archway, blade raised and cloak stirring in unnatural wind, is a figure they were told was a myth: Theubian, Champion of the Serpent, who has been waiting inside since the day the doors were shut. He does not speak. He simply steps forward.
