The Centipede Monstrosity is what becomes of a man consumed by something far older and far hungrier. Conrad, once known as the Monarch of Many Faces, has been utterly subsumed — his torso now fused to the writhing, armoured coils of a colossal centipede body, bristling with hooked limbs, jagged chitinous plates, and razor-edged spines that erupt from his flesh like corrupted growths. His face — still visible amid the horror — twists with a cruel intelligence that suggests whatever took him over kept the worst parts of who he was. The base tells its own story: shattered rock, scattered skulls, and the fossilised remnants of previous hosts litter the ground beneath his many feet, each one a reminder that Conrad is far from the first.
Details
This is a large, commanding sculpt with extraordinary detail throughout — from the segmented underbelly and interlocking carapace plates to the splayed claws and erupting bone spurs. It works brilliantly as a centrepiece boss encounter on the tabletop, and is equally at home on a display shelf as a statement collector's piece. The scenic base integrates directly with the model and elevates the whole composition into something genuinely dramatic.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a memorable, large-scale boss monster for a dungeon crawl or underdark campaign arc
- Are running encounters involving body horror, aberrant corruption, or foul transformation
- Want a display-worthy centrepiece miniature that rewards detailed painting
- Are building a collection of unique monsters beyond the standard bestiary fare
Encounter Hook:
The party tracks a missing merchant lord into the caverns beneath his estate — but the trail of shed carapace and crushed skulls they find below tells them Conrad didn't just disappear. Something has been nesting down here for months, wearing the memory of a man like armour, and it's just heard them coming.
Scaled to 32mm. The model and scenic base are separate pieces and attach securely with super glue — the sculpt interacts directly with the base, so displaying them together is strongly recommended. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming. Support marks may occasionally be present but are easily tidied up prior to painting.
