Centaur 04 by Yasashii Kyojin Studios

He does not charge — he simply levels the spear and waits, because he has lived long enough to know that the ground he stands on has already been consecrated by those who came before him.

• ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
• ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
• ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
• ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Centaurs occupy a compelling threshold between civilisation and wilderness — proud, territorial, and bound to a code older than any kingdom's laws. This sculpt from Yasashii Kyojin Studios communicates that with uncommon clarity: a massively built upper body, long hair swept back from a stern, heavy-featured face, and a long-shafted spear held low and ready — not raised in aggression, but positioned with the confidence of a creature that knows exactly how dangerous it is. The musculature across the torso and equine haunches is rendered with real anatomical care, and a layered cloth kilt at the waist adds just enough civilised detail to suggest this is no wild beast but a warrior with culture and history behind him.

The fourth sculpt in Yasashii Kyojin Studios' centaur range, this variant carries a distinct personality from its stablemates — where earlier pieces might lean into the bow-armed scout or the rearing charger, this one is the sentinel, the guardian of old places, the one who decides whether you pass or don't. Well worth pairing with the earlier sculpts if you're populating a full centaur clan or building an encounter group with genuine visual variety.

The 54mm option rewards painters who want to push their blending and texturing on the broad equine back and detailed musculature — the scale reveals detail that rewards close attention.

• DMs building grassland or forest encounter tables with centaur war bands or nomadic prides
• Adventurers playing a centaur character who wants a miniature that reflects the creature's imposing physical presence
• Painters drawn to the challenge of a large, well-muscled equine form with a characterful humanoid upper body
• Storytellers populating a centaur clan, a druidic circle's guardian, or a plains territory's wary gatekeeper

Encounter Hook

The party is three days into tracking a missing ranger when they find her horse — alive, well-tended, and tied to a post carved with centaur sigils at the edge of a meadow. A lone centaur stands twenty feet away, spear held low, watching them without expression. He has been waiting. He says only: "She is alive. Whether she leaves depends entirely on why you are here."
