Centaur 02 by Yasashii Kyojin Studios

He emerged from the treeline without sound — hood drawn, longbow slung, spear resting easy across one hand — and the message was clear before a single word passed between them.

• ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
• ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
• ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
• ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is the second centaur sculpt from Yasashii Kyojin Studios, and where the first leans into raw presence, this one brings something quieter and more dangerous — the measured authority of a sentinel who has been watching long before anyone noticed. The figure is hooded, heavily muscled through the upper body, and carries both a longbow and a spear, suggesting a warrior equally comfortable at range or in close. The equine lower body is powerfully built, harness straps crossing the chest and flanks with the kind of functional detail that rewards careful painting.

Yasashii Kyojin Studios have a gift for centaur anatomy — the transition between humanoid torso and horse body reads naturally here, with none of the awkward proportion issues that can plague this creature type. The hood and the broad, weathered features of the face give this particular sculpt a character that sits comfortably between NPC encounter and player character: a grassland warden, a Feywild outrider, a disillusioned ranger who left civilisation behind several decades ago and hasn't missed it since.

As the second sculpt in the range, this figure pairs naturally alongside Centaur 01, giving DMs the flexibility to field a small warband without identical figures on the table. It also works as a standalone centrepiece — the generous surface area across the equine body is a genuine gift for painters interested in blending, spotted or dappled coats, or working in leather and weathered wood tones across the harness and weapons.

Available in three variants: 32mm without base, 32mm on a plain base, and a 54mm display scale option for adventurers who want this figure to anchor a shelf or a diorama.

• A Dungeon Master fielding centaur wardens on the Feywild borders or the open plains
• A player building a centaur ranger or barbarian with a quiet, watchful edge
• A painter seeking a rewarding dual-texture project across horseflesh, skin, leather, and wood
• An adventurer expanding a centaur warband alongside the first sculpt in the range

Encounter Hook: The party has spent two days crossing the Greywood Marches when they find a merchants' wagon — wheels snapped, cargo looted, and a single black-feathered arrow pinned to the driver's seat with a note in Sylvan that reads Turn back. As they debate their next move, a hooded centaur steps from the grass thirty feet ahead, spear at rest, bow across his back — and waits to see what they decide.
