This extraordinary sculpt from Great Grimoire depicts a vast, otherworldly caterpillar entity — part sage, part enigma, entirely unsettling. Her bloated, segmented form fills the base with commanding presence, her robes and ropes wound loosely around her torso, a long-stemmed hookah trailing from one hand. Her face, human and eerily composed, peers out from beneath a domed, bulbous head adorned with antennae and strange growths. Scattered across the base are curious mushrooms and what appears to be a small armoured creature — a familiar or companion — resting at her side. Every surface is richly textured with layered fabric, organic curves, and fine decorative detail that rewards close painting.
Whether you place her in the Underdark as an ancient oracle, in the Feywild as a capricious power broker, or at the centre of a cult devoted to transformation and forbidden knowledge, she commands the scene entirely. This is the kind of miniature that makes your players stop mid-session and ask, "What is that?"
Suited to adventurers who:
- Need a memorable BBEG or enigmatic NPC with genuine presence
- Are building Underdark, Feywild, or cosmic horror encounters
- Want a show-stopping display piece worthy of a prominent shelf
- Love highly detailed sculpts that reward careful, layered painting
Encounter Hook:
The party has been searching three sessions for the location of the Vault of Echoes. A halfling herbalist in the last village muttered something about "the one who breathes smoke beneath the mycelium shelf" — and now, deep in a fog-thick hollow, they find her: enormous, utterly still, one eye already open and watching them approach.
