The Carrion Crawler is one of D&D's most viscerally unsettling dungeon predators, and these two sculpts from Novaminis do the creature genuine justice. Both variants share the creature's signature anatomy — a bloated, segmented body bristling with dorsal spines, a row of chitinous legs working in unsettling unison beneath, and that dreadful face-cluster of writhing tentacles surrounding a tooth-ringed maw. The long, whip-like antennae arch overhead, giving both sculpts a sense of predatory alertness even at rest.
Where they differ is in posture and character. Carrion Crawler 01 rears upright with its tentacled head raised and antennae spread wide — the pose of a creature that has just detected prey and is about to close the distance. Carrion Crawler 02 takes a lower, more compact profile with its bulk hunched forward, four views confirming a denser, more threatening silhouette — this one looks like it has already cornered something. Together, they give a Dungeon Master real variety: one for the ambush reveal, one for the relentless pursuit.

Encounter Hook:
The party follows a trail of paralysed rats through a sewer tunnel, each one neatly arranged as if stored rather than killed — then the torchlight catches the glint of two pairs of antennae ahead, and a third pair drops from the ceiling behind them.
