The Carcass Eater is a predatory scavenger built for haunting the aftermath — the kind of creature that follows warbands at a distance, slips into dungeon corridors after the fighting is done, and turns up wherever something has recently died. This set includes two distinct sculpts: a hunched, upright variant with a maned neck, protruding brow ridges, and clawed forearms held ready; and a low-slung, quadrupedal form with raised spines fanned across its back and a stalking, threat-display posture. Both are rendered in fine detail — fur texture, layered quills, and wickedly expressive faces that reward a careful paint job.

For Dungeon Masters, these two poses give you genuine flexibility. Run them as a mated pair, a pack leader and its cringing subordinate, or two separate encounters with the same nightmare creature. Equally compelling on a display shelf as on the table — the low-slung pose in particular makes an arresting piece for a painted monster diorama.

Perfect for adventurers who:
  • Want a monster that rewards creative encounter design — not just a fight, but a threat that lingers
  • Are building a wilderness, dungeon-edge, or battlefield-aftermath encounter table
  • Enjoy painting creature miniatures with complex fur and spine textures
  • Collect fantasy creature sculpts for display as well as play

Encounter Hook:
The party tracker notices the same set of wide, clawed prints following the road for three days running — always keeping a careful distance, always two sets, never one. On the fourth morning, they wake to find their packhorse gone and nothing left but a gnawed leather strap and a low, clicking sound from the treeline.

Both sculpts are included in this listing. Printed at 32mm scale — if you'd like a different scale, just get in touch. A plain black base is available as an optional add-on; it comes unattached so you can place the model however suits your basing style. Miniatures are supplied unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brushwork or usable straight from the box.
