Description

Every road has its merchants, and every merchant cart hides a story — whether it's black-market goods, a fence's front, or just an honest trader caught in the wrong place at the wrong time.

  • ✔ Resin terrain piece, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
  • ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
  • ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama

This covered merchant's cart is exactly the kind of scatter terrain that transforms a featureless battle map into a scene your players will remember. The sculpt captures a loaded travelling cart in wonderful detail: a canvas awning stretched over a wooden frame, a lantern hanging from one of the support posts, stacked barrels and crates in the bed, several bottles and vials arranged along the side rail, and a bulging hessian sack hanging off the rear corner. Runic or merchant script is carved into the sign board across the front. It reads like a living piece of a fantasy marketplace — or a very convenient piece of roadside cover.

Whether parked in a busy market square, sitting outside a tavern, abandoned on a mountain pass, or acting as the focal point of a merchant robbery encounter, this cart adds immediate narrative weight to any scene. It works equally well as a display piece for collectors who want their shelves to feel like a living fantasy world.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Run town, road, or marketplace encounters and want grounded, believable scenery
  • Need scatter terrain that doubles as cover and interactive story props
  • Are building a fantasy market, trade district, or traveller's camp diorama
  • Want detailed display pieces that tell a story without a figure present
  • Paint terrain as a hobby and love a sculpt full of texture and interesting surfaces

Encounter Hook:
The party is hired to escort a merchant's cart through the Thornwood Pass — but when they arrive at the rendezvous, the cart is there and the merchant is not. The canvas awning is torn. One of the barrels has been cracked open. And whatever was inside it is gone. Tracks lead into the treeline in three directions.

Scaled to 32mm. Suitable for priming and painting straight out of the box, or use as-is for instant atmosphere at the table. Supports are removed prior to dispatch; as with all resin printing, minor surface marks are occasionally possible and can be cleaned up easily at home.
