Capybara 1 by La Louve 3D
Description
They say the wisest guide through the Feywild is not an elf or a sprite, but a stout, unhurried capybara who has seen the forest change a hundred times and is in absolutely no rush to explain why.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This capybara miniature from La Louve 3D is a beautifully characterful sculpt that sits somewhere between ancient druid, wandering hermit, and enigmatic fey elder. Dressed in a simple laced tabard with a rope belt and bare feet, and gripping a tall gnarled walking staff, this fellow radiates the kind of calm, inscrutable wisdom that makes Dungeon Masters very dangerous. The fur texture across the body and face is richly detailed, giving painters a wealth of natural variation to work with, whilst the relaxed, upright stance reads clearly even at a distance on the gaming table.
Whether you cast him as a mysterious Feywild guide, a druid-circle elder in an enchanted wetland, or a strange NPC who knows far more than he lets on, this miniature brings an immediately distinctive presence to any encounter. He works just as well on a display shelf as he does in the middle of a session — the kind of sculpt that stops people mid-conversation to ask where he came from.
Well suited to adventurers who:
- Run Feywild campaigns and want genuinely unusual NPCs
- Are building a druid grove, wilderness settlement, or enchanted riverbank scene
- Want a miniature that doubles as a conversation piece on a display shelf
- Love painting dense fur texture and natural, earthy tones
- Enjoy character minis that are charming without being comedic
Encounter Hook:
The party has been wandering the same stretch of marshland for three hours when they spot him — a stout capybara seated on a mossy log, staff across his knees, watching them with half-closed eyes. He does not speak first. He never does. But when they finally ask him how to reach the hag's crossing, he tilts his head and says: "Which time did you want to arrive?"
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and decorative base are separate pieces — a small amount of glue will secure them. Some models interact naturally with their base, so we recommend attaching it for the best look. Supplied unpainted and primed-ready. Minor surface marks from support removal may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up before painting.
