Description

Chains still trailing from its wrists, the blood troll has broken free — and the first thing it reached for was a weapon.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is a creature mid-eruption — not charging, not lurking, but already mid-swing. The blood troll lunges forward with a massive spiked maul thrust overhead, its heavy link chain swinging from one arm as though snapped from whatever post it was once bound to. The sculpt captures that precise, terrifying moment between captivity and carnage.

Up close, the detail rewards a painter's attention. The troll's torso is wrapped in layered chain mail over thick, brutish muscle, while bony spines erupt from its shoulders and spine. Its clawed free hand reaches forward — grasping, threatening — and its snarling face, framed by wild, spiky hair and a heavy brow, conveys barely contained fury. The feet are bare and wide, gripping the ground as it drives into its attack. From the rear, the dense texture of its hide — part fur, part plating, part raw warty skin — makes for a genuinely rewarding miniature to pick out with a brush.

Mounted on a large 51mm base, this is a proper big-creature piece. It commands table space the way a troll should, and its mid-stride pose means it reads clearly from across the table as something actively dangerous rather than passively menacing.

Well-suited for adventurers who:

  • Need a large-creature encounter enemy with genuine threat presence on the board
  • Want a showcase centrepiece mini to practise layering skin tones and chain textures on
  • Are building a dungeon encounter involving a recaptured beast or escaped prisoner
  • Enjoy trolls with character — not just bulk, but a whole chaotic story in one pose

Encounter Hook: The party was hired to transport the troll to the city for trial — caged, sedated, and supposedly secure. Three days into the journey, the cart wheel breaks on a mountain pass at dusk, and the troll wakes up. It takes forty seconds to pull the cage bars apart. The chain it wears like a trophy used to be the lock.
