Captain Compass cuts an unmistakable silhouette on the tabletop: a weathered tricorn hat adorned with a feather, a long coat billowing at her back, and the cool, calculating expression of someone who has already decided how this encounter ends. In one hand she holds a small object — a compass, perhaps, or something more arcane — raised with quiet confidence. At her hip, a cutlass sits ready. Tucked behind her coat at the back, a flintlock pistol suggests she is never without options. Every detail of this sculpt speaks to a captain who commands through presence as much as steel.
Whether you're running a nautical campaign on the Sword Coast, staging a high-seas heist in Eberron, or building out a memorable pirate fleet NPC roster, Captain Compass brings the kind of character weight that makes players lean forward in their chairs. She works equally well as a charismatic Swashbuckler Rogue, a sea-hardened Fighter, or the kind of morally ambiguous quest-giver who always seems to know more than she lets on. She's as striking on a display shelf as she is on a hex map.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a named pirate captain NPC with genuine presence and personality
- Are playing a Swashbuckler Rogue, Battlemaster Fighter, or Bard with a nautical backstory
- Want a rival, ally, or faction leader for a coastal or seafaring campaign
- Are building a painted display piece with rich detail to reward careful brushwork
Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to recover stolen cargo from a notorious captain — but when they finally track her down at a fog-shrouded harbour tavern, Captain Compass slides a sealed letter across the table before they can speak. "I know why you're here," she says, her compass glinting in the candlelight. "And I know who really sent you. Sit down. We need to talk."
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The figure and scenic base are separate pieces — a small amount of superglue will secure them. The base is sculpted to complement the pose, so we recommend displaying her with it. Minis arrive with supports removed and fully cured, ready for priming and painting or straight to the table as-is.
