Candy Pail by Mia Kay M3DM
Description
Someone left a trick-or-treat pail at the crossroads — but the grinning face carved into it hasn't stopped smiling, and nobody remembers putting it there.

- ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
- ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
- ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama
This cheerful yet quietly unsettling scatter piece depicts a classic Halloween candy pail: a round bucket bearing a carved jack-o'-lantern face, its arched handle framing a heap of tiny wrapped sweets tumbling over the brim. Nestled on a textured cobblestone base with broad leaf fronds rising behind it, the sculpt has the kind of charming-but-wrong energy that makes players immediately suspicious of something so innocent-looking. Paint it in vivid orange and black for a faithful Halloween aesthetic, or lean into something more sinister — a tarnished, moss-covered relic that's been sitting at this spot far longer than it should have.
Whether you're running a Ravenloft session steeped in autumnal dread, a Feywild encounter gone sideways, or a Witchlight-adjacent romp through a festival gone wrong, this piece adds immediate atmosphere to your battlefield. It works equally well as a display piece for collectors who appreciate seasonal character in their cabinet.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Run Halloween one-shots, Ravenloft arcs, or Feywild festival encounters
- Want scatter terrain that adds story as well as visual interest
- Are building a seasonal diorama or spooky display shelf
- Enjoy painting characterful props as a palette cleanser between larger projects
Encounter Hook:
The harvest festival in Millhaven has been celebrated for generations — but this year, every child who took a sweet from the pail at the village green woke the next morning unable to speak, their eyes fixed on something only they could see. The pail sits untouched now, still grinning, still full. The party has been asked to find out why.
