Camel Standing by Atlanticus Arts
Description
The desert caravan has stopped — one of the camels is refusing to move, and judging by the way it's staring into the middle distance, it knows something the party doesn't.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
Whether it's serving as a pack animal trudging across the Anauroch wastes, a temperamental mount for a desert-dwelling merchant prince, or simply the most unimpressed creature in a crowded bazaar, the camel is a brilliant character piece for any arid or trade-route setting. This sculpt captures the animal's distinctive silhouette with impressive detail — a pronounced single hump, layered fur texture across the shoulders and neck, and a wonderfully expressive face that suggests the camel has opinions and is not afraid to share them.
The round sandy base, textured with wind-swept desert ripples, grounds the model beautifully on the table and makes it a strong candidate for the display shelf as well. As a D&D Beast, it's a natural fit for desert encounter tables, caravan ambush scenes, or as a lovable (if stubborn) companion animal alongside Ranger or Druid characters.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Run desert or trade-route campaigns and want grounded, real-world fauna at the table
- Need a camel mount or caravan animal for an NPC scene or wilderness encounter
- Are building a themed display diorama set in an arid or Middle Eastern-inspired setting
- Want a characterful Beast miniature that doubles as a display piece
Encounter Hook:
The party's hired guide is three days overdue, and the only thing waiting at the desert waypoint is his camel — still laden, still standing, and staring back along the road towards the ruins the party was told to avoid.
Details
This miniature is available at 32mm scale for tabletop play or 54mm scale for display and larger painting projects. It comes with a separate sculpted base that attaches cleanly with superglue. The sculpt arrives unpainted and ready to prime — a warm sandy basecoat followed by some ochre and burnt sienna washes will have this camel looking right at home in any desert setting.
