Description

Somewhere deep in the old-growth forest, the locals stopped calling it a haunting — because haunted houses don't have legs.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Cabin in the Woods is not a location. It is a predator. Crouching low on thick, clawed limbs, this nightmarish creature wears the collapsed wreckage of a woodland cabin across its broad back like a hermit crab wearing a house — except no hermit crab has ever been this unsettling. The structure itself is richly detailed: timber beams, window frames, planking, and shattered wood scatter across its body in every direction, overgrown with gnarled vines and tentacle-like appendages that curl around the wreckage as though they belong to it. And they do.

The creature's lower body is smooth, almost amphibian in texture — long, powerful haunches and splayed, taloned feet that suggest both strength and silence. It hunches forward, head buried beneath the cabin's collapsed bulk, a long thick tongue lolling from what passes for its mouth. It is, in the most unsettling sense of the word, at home.

This sculpt is a painter's joy and a Dungeon Master's delight. The combination of organic flesh tones against weathered timber, rusted nails, broken fencing, and crawling vines offers a genuinely varied palette challenge — and on the table, it produces the kind of double-take moment that players talk about for sessions afterwards.

Great for adventurers who:

  • Want a creature encounter that stops the table cold the moment the mini hits the board
  • Love painting complex textures — wood, vine, flesh, and debris all in one sculpt
  • Need a truly original monstrosity for a wilderness or haunted-wood encounter
  • Collect display-quality pieces that reward close inspection from every angle
  • Run campaigns where the horror is subtle right up until the moment it absolutely isn't

Encounter Hook

The party has been hired to investigate why a woodcutter's cabin went missing — not burned, not collapsed, just gone, with only claw marks in the mud where the foundations used to be. Three days into the Whisperwood, they find the cabin. It finds them first. Roll initiative.
