Bygul by Mia Kay M3DM
Description
In the old Norse tales, Bygul and Trjegul pulled the chariot of Freyja herself — but this cat answers to no one now, stalking through crystal-scattered undergrowth with fur raised and eyes blank as moonstone.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This sculpt captures Bygul mid-stalk: body low, hackles up, tail raised in warning. The richly textured mane of overlapping petals or feathers cascades across the shoulders and flanks, giving this feline a distinctly fey or divine quality — something between a forest spirit and a predator that has never once been tame. The integrated base is alive with detail: sharp crystal formations, tufts of grass, and clusters of small succulents frame the cat in a moment of focused, silent menace.
Whether you're running an encounter in the Feywild, building a Nordic-themed wilderness arc, or need a divine beast companion that reads as genuinely otherworldly, Bygul delivers the kind of presence that makes your players sit up a little straighter when it appears on the table. It works equally well as a display piece for collectors drawn to mythologically inspired sculpts.
Well suited for adventurers who:
- Run Feywild, Nordic, or nature-deity campaigns and need a suitably eerie beast
- Want a divine familiar or sacred creature for a Cleric or Druid NPC
- Are building a painted display piece inspired by Norse mythology
- Need a mid-encounter twist — something that isn't quite what it seems
Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to retrieve a stolen reliquary from the ruins of a Freyja shrine. They find it quickly — but it's already occupied. Bygul crouches atop the altar, petalled mane bristling, eyes utterly white. The goddess may be long gone, but her cat has not forgotten who this place belongs to.
