Bunny Knight by Epic Miniatures

Somewhere between the Feywild's whimsy and the front line of a proper shield wall, the Bunny Knight has decided that honour, armour, and a very sharp sword are not incompatible with having excellent ears.

This is the Bunny Knight — a medium-sized anthropomorphic rabbit warrior sculpted with a surprising amount of martial gravitas. The miniature depicts a stocky, upright lagomorph clad in segmented leather-and-plate armour, with pronounced long ears rising from a close-fitting helm that frames the face with reinforced cheekguards. In the right hand is a broadsword, tip planted toward the ground in a confident ready stance; in the left, a large round shield is gripped with evident purpose.
The detail work rewards close inspection: the armour panels show deliberate cross-hatched scoring across the breastplate, pauldrons, gauntlets, and greaves, giving the impression of hardened leather over a textile base. The exposed fur on the arms, legs, and muzzle has fine texture throughout, and the broad rabbit feet are rendered with individual toes — a lovely grounding detail that keeps the sculpt feeling characterful rather than cartoonish. The back of the mini reveals a sword scabbard hanging from the belt, confirming this warrior came prepared for a long campaign.
The Bunny Knight works beautifully as a Harengon fighter or paladin player character, a Feywild knight in service to an archfey, or an unusual but memorable NPC in a court of anthropomorphic creatures. Painters will find the large flat surfaces of the shield and armour panels excellent canvases for freehand heraldry, and the face — framed by the helmet — offers a pleasing focal point with clear planes to highlight.
Particularly well-suited for adventurers who:
- Play Harengon fighters, paladins, or rangers and want a characterful sculpt to match
- Run Feywild campaigns with knights, courts, or anthropomorphic factions
- Want a mini that reads as both whimsical and genuinely battle-ready on the table
- Are looking for a distinctive display piece that doubles as a playable character
- Love painting armour details, fur texture, and shield freehand in a single sculpt
Encounter Hook: The party arrives at the gatehouse of a woodland keep and finds it guarded by a single armoured figure — rabbit ears poking from a battered helm, round shield dented but held steady, sword already drawn. The Bunny Knight of the Thornwood has held this gate alone for three days. They haven't eaten since yesterday. They are not moving.
