Bullywug 04 by Yasashii Kyojin Studios
Description
From somewhere deep in the twilight boughs, a reedy melody drifts through the mist — half lullaby, half warning — played by webbed fingers that never miss a note.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This is Bullywug 04, and it is unlike any frog-folk miniature you've likely seen on a tabletop before. Rather than the bog-standard warrior pose, this bullywug is a bard — coiled sinuously around a twisted branch, torso arched back, flute pressed to wide lips mid-performance. The sculpt captures genuine motion: the grip of each webbed hand on the wood, the lean of the body into the music, the frog's wide eyes fixed on something — or someone — unseen. At 57mm tall, it commands a shelf or centrepiece position with ease, and rewards careful painting with all manner of vibrant amphibian colour schemes.
In your setting, this could be a Feywild herald whose songs open — or seal — the paths between realms, a trickster NPC whose music carries enchantment in every phrase, or a Grung- or bullywug-touched bard PC played by an adventurer with particularly eccentric taste. The dynamic branch base gives this mini real presence on the table without competing with the character itself.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a distinctive bullywug NPC beyond the typical warrior or shaman
- Are running Feywild or enchanted forest campaigns and want atmosphere on the table
- Collect character-driven fantasy miniatures for display and painting projects
- Want a bard miniature that breaks every expectation of what a bard looks like
Encounter Hook:
The party has been following the music for twenty minutes through the Whispering Fen — always close, never closer — and when it finally stops, they realise they are standing exactly where the map marked the drowned village. From above them on a mossy branch, a bullywug lowers its flute and tilts its head. "You are here," it says. "I wondered when you'd arrive."
