Description

You never hear them coming — the first sign of a bugbear is usually the crash of something heavy against the back of your skull.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Bugbears occupy a particularly brutal niche in goblinoid society: too large and savage to blend in, too cunning to be dismissed as simple brutes. In D&D 5e they serve as enforcers, ambush predators, and hired muscle for hobgoblin warlords or more sinister patrons. This sculpt by Monster Atlas captures that menace brilliantly — a powerfully built, wolf-snouted humanoid rendered mid-threat, one arm raised clutching what appears to be a large stone or improvised weapon, teeth bared in a snarl, wearing banded armour over a powerful frame. The pose radiates aggression barely held in check, exactly what you want looming out of a dungeon doorway at your players.

Whether you're running an Underdark ambush, a bandit-camp encounter, or a goblinoid warband, this miniature brings genuine physical menace to the table. It's equally at home on a display shelf alongside other humanoid monsters in your collection.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a characterful, lore-accurate bugbear for D&D 5e or other TTRPG systems
  • Are building a goblinoid warband with Dungeon Master flair
  • Enjoy painting large humanoid monsters with expressive faces and detailed armour
  • Collect fantasy miniatures for display as well as gameplay

Encounter Hook:
The party's rogue scouts ahead through the abandoned mill and finds the floor scattered with gnawed bones — then hears a slow, deliberate footstep from the loft above. Something very large drops down between them and the exit, lips curled back from yellow fangs, a chunk of masonry raised in one clawed fist.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and base are separate pieces — a small amount of super glue will secure them. The decorative base is designed to complement the sculpt, and we recommend using it for the best result. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all resin printing, minor marks may occasionally remain and can be cleaned up easily. Each piece is fully cured and ready for priming and painting, or use straight out of the box.
