Description

Even in sleep, the bugbear is dangerous — its massive frame coiled with muscle, its horned head resting on folded claws, daring anyone foolish enough to wake it.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is Bugbear 06 from Yasashii Kyojin Studio, and it's a genuinely distinctive piece: the bugbear is shown fully prone, deep in rest, its body blanketed in overlapping scales and rough, feathered fur. Two stubby horns crown its broad, snarling snout, and its thick arms are crossed beneath its head. Whether you're setting a scene — a creature interrupted mid-slumber, a trap for unwary adventurers, or simply a moment of unlikely calm between battles — this sculpt captures something most monster minis never bother with: stillness.

For Dungeon Masters, a sleeping bugbear opens up extraordinary narrative possibilities. Stealth missions. Mercy or menace. A seemingly defenceless figure that is absolutely, categorically not defenceless. For collectors and painters, the scale detail across the body and the textural contrast between fur and skin make this a rewarding piece to work with.

Well suited to adventurers who:

  • Run stealth-based encounters or ambush-from-rest scenarios
  • Want a bugbear encampment or lair set with varied poses
  • Enjoy painting detailed creature textures — fur, scales, and hide all in one mini
  • Are building display dioramas or goblinoid faction collections

Encounter Hook:
The warband's sentry post is quiet — too quiet. Rounding the corner, the party finds a hulking bugbear face-down in the dirt, snoring loud enough to rattle loose stone. Someone's crossbow is already raised. Someone else is already whispering about what might have knocked it out in the first place.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base comes unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. As with all hand-finished pieces, minor imperfections are possible; any residual support marks are easily tidied up.
