Bugbears occupy a brutal niche in the goblinoid hierarchy: too cunning to be mere brutes, too savage to be trusted lieutenants. This sculpt captures that unnerving quality in full. The warrior stands in a heavy, forward-leaning guard stance, both clawed hands gripping a long spear, a short blade bound to his belt with rough cord. His face is all tension — brow furrowed beneath a mane of wild fur, teeth barely contained behind set lips. Spiked bone or iron shoulder armour adds to the sense of something built for ambush as much as open combat, and his taloned, feathered feet suggest a creature that moves with deceptive quiet for its size.

At 51mm tall, this is a model that commands the table — noticeably larger than your standard 32mm humanoid, which is exactly right for a creature defined by physical intimidation. The surface detail rewards careful painting: layered fur texture across the chest and scalp, individual cord wrappings on the blade hilt, and a face full of character that will take washes beautifully.

This is pose 02 of our Bugbear range from Yasashii Kyojin Studio. Printed at 32mm scale (51mm to top of spear tip). Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be secured with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all hand-finished prints, minor surface marks are possible and easily tidied with a fine file or nail buffer before priming.
