Description
The square falls silent as the magistrate's decree is read aloud — and all eyes turn to the great wooden wheel standing at its centre.

- ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
- ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
- ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama
Few pieces of scatter terrain communicate consequence quite like a breaking wheel. This is the prop that tells your players, without a word of narration, that justice here is brutal and public. Whether it stands in a tyrannical lord's courtyard, marks the entrance to a city under martial law, or looms in the corner of a dungeon where unspeakable things once happened, this piece earns its place on the table the moment it appears.
The sculpt captures the weight and roughness of aged timber with convincing woodgrain texture across every spoke, rim, and support brace. The wheel is mounted upright on a solid cross-footed base, giving it that unmistakable look of a structure built to be seen — a warning as much as a tool. It reads clearly at tabletop distance, making it as practical for gameplay as it is atmospheric for photography or diorama work.
Well suited to adventurers who:
- Are running campaigns with political intrigue, tyranny, or dark medieval themes
- Want scatter terrain that communicates story without requiring explanation
- Are building town squares, dungeon dressing, or execution-ground encounter maps
- Collect detailed display pieces alongside their gaming terrain
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives in the village of Ashfeld to find the marketplace deserted — except for the local herbalist, bound to the breaking wheel in the square and still barely alive. She was convicted of witchcraft at dawn. The magistrate who signed the order is seated in the tavern across the road, watching the door.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale. A plain black base is available as an optional add-on and comes unattached — a small amount of glue will fix it in place. The piece arrives ready for priming and painting, or can be used straight away as bare resin. Supports are removed before dispatch, though minor surface marks are an inherent part of the printing process; these are easily tidied up with light sanding.
