The Bone Wight is no shambling skeleton. This is something older and stranger — a creature born from the dark intersection of beast and undead, its skeletal elk skull stretched into a silent scream, its long limbs bound with sinew and striding across a base strewn with the skulls of those who came before. The torso erupts in a mass of dried leaves and gnarled bone, and every claw, every joint, every tether of decayed hide tells the story of something that once commanded the wilderness — and now commands only death. This sculpt from DM Stash's Shadow Over Nordheim collection captures that Norse horror in extraordinary detail, equally at home on a game table mid-encounter or on a display shelf as a centrepiece.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale, the Beinvættr stands noticeably tall, dominating the table with the presence of a boss monster or powerful encounter creature. The base is richly detailed with scattered bones, earth mounds and broken ground, and attaches separately so you can paint both pieces cleanly before assembly.
Well-suited for adventurers who:
- Run Norse, Viking, or dark wilderness campaigns and want creatures with real mythological weight
- Need a memorable boss monster or wandering horror for a woodland or tundra encounter
- Collect and display sculpts that reward careful painting — the layered bone and leaf textures on this mini are a painter's gift
- Want an undead creature that reads as genuinely threatening on the table without explanation
Encounter Hook:
Three nights ago, the hunters of Halvgard stopped returning from the Ashwood. The survivors speak of a clicking sound between the trees — the rhythm of many bones, moving in unison — and a skull like no living elk that turned slowly to face them before the screaming started. The party's map marks the Ashwood as two hours' travel north. The clicking started an hour ago.
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and scenic base are separate pieces, designed to be attached with superglue — note that the model does interact with the base, so take a moment to dry-fit before gluing. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming. Supports are removed, though minor marks from the printing process can occasionally occur and are easily tidied up.
