The chamber floor is barely visible beneath the weight of the dead — skulls stacked on ribcages, femurs jutting at angles, the remains of dozens who never made it out.

- ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
- ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama
This is Bone Pile 03 from Novaminis — the third variation in their Bone Pile scatter terrain range, and the most sprawling of the set. Where the other piles might suggest a corner of neglect or a modest mass grave, this one commands the floor. A broad, low mound of interlocking skeletal remains — human skulls nested between rib cages, long bones scattered across the heap, and partial skeletons visible mid-pile as though something disturbed them long ago. The detail is dense and layered, rewarding close inspection and a careful wash.
Whether you're building a necromancer's sanctum, dressing the lair of a death knight, or simply marking the spot where a TPK once happened, this piece adds immediate narrative weight to your table. It works equally well as atmospheric scatter for dungeon tiles or as a centrepiece hazard — perhaps the kind of bone pile that moves when the party isn't looking. For collectors and display painters, it's a deeply satisfying piece to bring to life with drybrushing and ink washes.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Need graveyard or dungeon scatter terrain with genuine presence
- Are running undead-heavy campaigns — Curse of Strahd, Tomb of Annihilation, or homebrew necromancer arcs
- Want to mark out hazardous or difficult terrain on the battlemap
- Are building atmospheric display dioramas or painting projects
- Collect the full Bone Pile range for varied dungeon dressing
Encounter Hook:
The party has been tracking the necromancer for three days when they find the ossuary — a vaulted chamber where the floor itself is bones. As the rogue steps forward to examine the nearest skull, the Dungeon Master asks for a Perception check. Something at the centre of the pile just blinked.
Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black base — base is supplied unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. The sculpt prints without a traditional base of its own, sitting low and flat to the table for a natural, organic look. Minor surface imperfections may occasionally occur during the print process; any residual marks are straightforward to tidy up before priming. Supplied unpainted and ready for your brush.
