Bogreign by Primal Collectibles
Description
Something vast and wrong lurks beneath the mire — a mass of glistening hide, raking claws, and writhing tentacles that the marsh has no name for, and neither do the survivors.

- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Bogreign is a creature born of the deepest, most forsaken wetlands — part beast, part aberration, wholly terrifying. Its warty, pustule-covered hide speaks to a life spent wallowing in fetid water, yet there is nothing slow or ponderous about it. Three sculpt variants are available, each capturing a different aspect of this horror: one rears upright with its maw thrown wide in a full roar, a crown of tentacles flailing above rows of jagged teeth; another lunges forward on all fours, a secondary malformed head visible at its flank, its tentacles coiling outward in every direction; the third is caught mid-charge, head low, jaws agape, a single mass of writhing tendrils erupting from its back as crushed foliage scatters beneath its claws.
Every variant sits on a detailed swamp base — churned mud, standing water, and scattered marshland debris — that roots the creature firmly in its environment. The sculpting across all three is deeply textured: layered scales, bubbling nodules, leathery folds, and the organic weight of a creature that should not exist. Painters will find extraordinary depth here, from the concave shadows of the pustules to the fine ridgework of each individual claw.
The Bogreign works equally well as a one-shot boss encounter dropped into a swamp hex, a recurring territorial predator the party must navigate around, or a sinister aberration warped by proximity to a corrupting planar rift. On the display shelf it commands attention from every angle — pick whichever variant best suits your vision.
A great fit for adventurers who:
- Need a large, imposing swamp or wilderness creature for their encounter table
- Run horror-adjacent campaigns where the monster needs to feel genuinely wrong
- Want a multi-faceted sculpt that rewards detailed painting — wash work, wet blending, and OSL alike
- Are building a display piece centred on a swamp or marshland theme
- Play or run games featuring aberrations, monstrosities, or corrupted beasts
Encounter Hook
The village of Ashford Crossing has lost three fishing boats in a fortnight. No wreckage. No bodies. Just an oily disturbance on the water and the lingering smell of something rotten. When the party investigates the reed beds at the river's edge, the Bogreign doesn't announce itself — it simply rises, water sheeting from its flanks, and the tentacles begin to move. The locals call it the Hollowmaw. The locals are, at this point, too frightened to be helpful.
Details
Three sculpt variants available — select your preferred pose at the time of order. All variants are supplied unpainted and unassembled where applicable, cast in high-detail grey resin, and based on a sculpted swamp base integrated into the miniature. Scale is 32mm — the Bogreign reads as a large creature on the tabletop and will tower over standard-sized minis accordingly.
