Description

It doesn't charge. It doesn't roar. It crouches in the dark and waits — club raised, claws splayed, grinning with far too many teeth.

  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Bogie Ghoul Sitting from Epic Miniatures captures something deeply unsettling about the undead — not raw power, but predatory patience. This hunched, feral creature crouches low, a heavy stone-headed club gripped two-handed and angled back, as though coiled mid-spring. Its limbs are lean and sinewy, its clawed fingers wrapped tight around the shaft of a primitive weapon bound in sinew. The face is all snarl: fanged, broad, and completely without mercy.

From the back, the sculpt reveals a spine of raised ridges running down the creature's back beneath a crude layered garment — scraps of hide and rough cloth cinched about the waist — giving the impression of something half-wild, half-tribal. It reads less like a simple shambling undead and more like a cunning hunter that just happens to be dead. Both angles reward the painter: there is texture throughout, from the wrappings on the club haft to the articulated toes digging into the ground beneath it.

Whether you need a lurking menace for a dungeon corridor, a crypt guardian with a flair for ambush, or a ghoulish enforcer serving something far worse, this sculpt earns its place on the table. It is equally well-suited to display painting for those who want to bring out every claw and sinew in high detail.

This miniature works especially well for adventurers who:

  • Run undead encounters that need variety beyond standard skeletons and zombies
  • Want a ghoul that reads as cunning and dangerous rather than mindless
  • Are building out a crypt, cave, or Underdark ambush encounter
  • Enjoy painting textured, characterful creatures with strong silhouettes
  • Collect display-worthy undead sculpts with genuine personality

Encounter Hook: The party follows a trail of kobold remains into a flooded lower passage. The torchlight catches a pair of eyes in the dark — and then the Bogie Ghoul drops from the wall above them, club already raised, moving faster than anything that dead should move.
