Description
From the deep fens where the veil between worlds grows thin, the Bog Druid watches — neither fully of the living world nor the one beyond it.
- ✔ Large-scale display bust — significantly bigger than standard 32mm
- ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
- ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions
This striking bust captures a druid figure swathed in layered, moss-thick robes and a deep cowl, their face barely visible within the shadowed folds of fabric. Erupting from the crown of the piece are large crystalline formations — teal-blue and faceted like something between flora and mineral — suggesting a druid who draws power not from sun-dappled glades but from the cold, slow magic of standing water and decaying things. The sculpt is dense with surface texture: woven cloth, organic growth, and a richly detailed plinth base that grounds the whole composition with an air of ancient ceremony.
For a Dungeon Master, this is the face of a Circle of Spores or Circle of Land (Swamp) druid NPC who has held the same stretch of marshland for centuries. For a painter, it is a canvas of contrasting textures — fabric folds, crystal facets, and organic growth — that rewards every technique from wet blending to OSL. For a collector, it is a centrepiece that earns its place on the shelf.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Want a detailed painting project with rich textural variety
- Are building a display collection of fantasy busts
- Need a memorable NPC — a reclusive bog-warden, a druidic oracle, or an ambiguous patron
- Are playing or DMing a Circle of Spores, Circle of Land, or Wild Magic druid character
- Seek character inspiration for campaigns set in swamps, fens, or the Feywild's darker edges
Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to drain the Mirewood Fen for a new settlement — but deep in the marsh, half-submerged on a root-throne and crowned with crystal growths that pulse faintly in the dark, sits a figure who has been waiting for exactly this kind of intrusion. She does not speak first. She simply watches. Whether she is guardian, threat, or something far older than either, your players will have to find out for themselves.
Details
This is a display bust, scaled and sculpted for painting projects and collector shelves rather than standard tabletop play. It arrives unpainted and ready for primer. Supports are removed prior to dispatch, and each piece is fully cured. As with all hand-finished resin work, minor marks or imperfections may occasionally be present — these are easily addressed with light sanding before painting.
