Blue Slaad by Monster Atlas
Description
It doesn't announce itself — by the time your party hears the scrape of those curved claws across stone, it's already too close.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Blue Slaad is one of the most unsettling creatures in D&D's cosmology — not just because of its raw physical power, but because of what it represents: chaos given muscle, hunger given claws, and a maw full of jagged teeth that seem almost too wide for its head. This sculpt by Monster Atlas captures that grotesque bulk with real conviction. The creature hunches forward, arms spread low and wide, six curved talons on each hand poised to rake and slash. Bony protrusions stud its shoulders and back, its blue-grey hide shifts into bruised purple at the limbs, and those amber-yellow eyes are half-lidded with the lazy menace of something that has never once worried about losing a fight.
Three poses are available in this range — each one captures a slightly different angle of threat, from a more forward-facing aggressive stance to a low crouching lunge. Whether you're fielding one or all three, each reads unmistakably as the same terrifying creature. Equally at home on the battlefield grid or commanding a display shelf, this is a miniature that earns its place in any serious collection.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Run Dungeons & Dragons 5e or other TTRPG campaigns featuring Slaadi, planar threats, or Limbo-touched encounters
- Want a visually imposing monster mini that reads as a genuine physical threat across the table
- Are building a painted display collection and want a character with real sculptural texture and colour contrast to work with
- Need a boss-level creature that can anchor an entire session's dread
Encounter Hook:
The party has been tasked with finding a missing patrol — six experienced soldiers who knew the sewers well. They find the patrol. Or rather, they find the claw marks, the scattered equipment, and one survivor wedged behind a collapsed wall, too frightened to speak. Then something very large shifts in the water ahead, and two amber eyes open in the dark.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The miniature and its decorative base are separate pieces — a small amount of superglue is all that's needed to bring them together. Note that some sculpts in this range are designed to interact with their base, so we recommend attaching it for the best presentation. Supplied unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brushwork or striking straight from the box as a grey display piece. Each mini is quality checked before dispatch, though the nature of high-detail resin printing means minor marks may occasionally be present — these are easily addressed with a fine blade or light sanding.
