The Blemmyes is one of those creatures that stops players mid-sentence — a broad-shouldered, muscle-bound humanoid with no head, its face set grotesquely into the flesh of its chest: wide-set eyes above a jaw packed with uneven teeth, stretched in a permanent snarl. This sculpt captures the creature mid-stride, one leg raised in a bounding lunge, its powerful arms hauling back a shortbow at full draw. A barbed arrow is nocked and aimed, and a quiver of matching arrows is strapped across its back. Rope-wrapped wrist bindings and a feathered hide skirt — likely trophies from past hunts — round out the tribal savagery of the sculpt. The detail on the musculature and the texture of the woven bindings are particularly well-realised, giving painters plenty of surface interest to work into.
