Description

Ancient, merciless, and reeking of acid, the black dragon does not merely claim a territory — it dissolves everything that dares contest it.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This imposing black dragon sculpt captures the creature mid-survey, wings half-spread and body coiled atop a jagged rocky outcrop, as though it has just turned to regard something foolish enough to approach. The horned, heavily scaled head is turned to one side with a predator's casual menace, while the broad, veined wings flare behind in a display that leaves no doubt about who rules this particular stretch of blighted swamp or ruined mountain pass. The coiled tail, layered belly scales, and textured wing membranes all speak to a sculptor deeply committed to the creature's draconic anatomy. A small humanoid figure is nestled at the base — a thrall, a prisoner, or simply something the dragon stepped over — giving the sculpt a sense of genuine scale and narrative weight.

In D&D 5e, black dragons are chromatic terrors of the worst sort: cunning, sadistic, and delighted by suffering. They make extraordinary campaign bosses, lair guardians for a climactic set piece, or simply the most striking piece on your display shelf. This sculpt holds its own as a centrepiece whether it's sat in the middle of your battle map or on a bookcase between sessions.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a chromatic dragon boss for a climactic encounter
  • Are building a swamp, ruin, or mountain lair for their campaign
  • Want a large-scale display piece that genuinely commands attention
  • Are working on a painting project that rewards detail work across scales, wings, and horns

Encounter Hook:
The village elder swore the creature had not stirred from the flooded mine in thirty years — but that was before someone looted the egg chamber, and now three farmsteads are nothing but scorched earth and the smell of brimstone hanging over the valley like a warning.

Details

Printed at 32mm scale. The model includes the rocky outcrop base as an integral part of the sculpt. As with all our prints, supports are removed and each piece is fully cured before dispatch. Minor marks from the printing process are possible and can be addressed with light sanding before priming — part of the joy of working with a freshly printed miniature.
