This Birdfolk Raven Master cuts a formidable silhouette: a hooded avian figure standing tall with two large ravens perched across their shoulders, wings outstretched mid-motion as though caught in the instant before flight. A long, scaled tail sweeps dramatically behind them, and their taloned feet grip the terrain base with predatory confidence. The sculpt captures the character mid-stance — grounded yet ready — with layered cloth wrappings, a rope belt, and forearm bracers lending a wilderness ranger aesthetic. The detail in the featherwork, both on the ravens and across the figure's own form, is exceptional and rewards careful painting.
Birdfolk characters occupy a compelling niche at the TTRPG table — sharp-eyed, enigmatic, and rarely fully trusted. This particular sculpt lends itself to rangers, scouts, beast masters, or any class built around a deep bond with animals. The ravens aren't decoration; they feel like companions, co-conspirators, extensions of the character's will. Whether you're building a PC who communes with corvids or an NPC who brokers information through their feathered network, this miniature carries the story in every detail.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Are playing a birdfolk ranger, beast master, or wildshape-adjacent character
- Need a distinctive NPC — a spymaster, an oracle, or a fey-touched wanderer
- Want a centrepiece miniature that earns its place on the display shelf
- Are running a campaign with factions that traffic in secrets, wilderness lore, or avian magic
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the crossroads village to find every crow, rook, and raven in the region has gathered on the rooftops — and standing calmly at the inn's door is a hooded birdfolk figure with two ravens on their shoulders. "I've been watching you since the Ashwood," they say, without turning round. "We should talk about what's coming."
