Benevolent Bard (Nathaniel) by DM Stash
Description
They said the tavern was just a stopover — but when Nathaniel unslung his lute and began to play, the whole room went quiet, and somehow the adventure found them all anyway.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
Nathaniel cuts a striking figure at any table: a well-travelled bard dressed in layered woven armour, a broad braided cape draped over one shoulder, and a finely engraved lute held aloft in one hand as though a performance is always imminent. A cluster of keys hangs at his belt alongside a well-stocked bandolier, and his base tells its own story — a wooden tavern floor scattered with a goblet, a jug, a plate of food, and a rumpled cloth, as if he's only just set down his pack. Every inch of this sculpt rewards close attention, from the intricate basketweave texture of his coat to the decorative scrollwork on the lute's body.
Whether you're running Nathaniel as a charismatic player character bard, a gregarious quest-giver who knows too many secrets, or a wandering NPC who always turns up at precisely the wrong — or right — moment, this sculpt has the presence and detail to make him memorable at the table and a genuine pleasure to paint for display.
Well-suited for adventurers who:
- Are building a bard PC and want a sculpt with personality to match
- Need a named, characterful NPC — a contact, informant, or roving storyteller
- Want a showpiece miniature for a D&D 5e College of Lore or College of Glamour character
- Are painting for display and looking for a sculpt rich in surface texture and fine detail
Encounter Hook:
The party have been tracking a smuggling ring for three sessions — but it's Nathaniel who finds them first, already seated at their table with two drinks ordered and a knowing smile. He's heard things. He wants something in return. Whether he's an ally, a liability, or both is entirely up to your DM.
Details
Sculpted at 32mm scale. The model and its detailed tavern-scene base are separate pieces, easily attached with a small amount of super glue — and the base is well worth including, as the sculpt interacts with it naturally. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming, or use it straight from the box as a gaming piece.
