This Beggar Bundle from Novaminis brings two distinct and deeply characterful sculpts to your table. Both figures wear layered, patched clothing stitched together with coarse cross-stitch detailing, bound with rope-belt accoutrements that speak to a life of improvisation and survival. The textile detail on both pieces is remarkably precise — every fraying edge and knotted cord tells a story before a single drop of paint is applied.

Beggar 01 is a broad-shouldered, bearded man on bended knee, both arms raised with hands spread wide in a desperate plea. His linen-wrapped forearms, stitched leather jerkin, and rope belt all show the toll of hard years. The kneeling pose is emotive and dynamic — this is not a man who has given up, but one who is fighting to survive with the only tools he has left. He works equally well as a humble supplicant, a disguised rogue, or a broken veteran reduced to begging outside the city gates.

Beggar 02 is a slender figure in a long patched robe, barefoot, with long unkempt hair hanging over a downcast face. Her hands are pressed together in a gesture somewhere between prayer and plea, her gaze hidden behind a curtain of tangled locks. The rope belt, stitched hemline, and worn fabric convey quiet desperation. She makes a compelling NPC for morally complex city encounters — a displaced noble, a fallen cleric, or a fugitive in disguise.

Together, the two figures form a cohesive pair that bring grit and humanity to any urban tabletop setting. Both are sculpted with Novaminis' characteristic attention to surface storytelling — the kind of detail that rewards careful painting and rewards your players with NPCs they'll actually remember.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Run city-based campaigns with layered social intrigue and morally grey encounters
  • Need atmospheric NPCs for Ravenloft, Waterdeep, or dark urban settings
  • Want background characters that carry genuine narrative weight at the table
  • Enjoy painting expressive, non-combat miniatures with rich textural detail
  • Are building a beggars' quarter, slum district, or tavern-front diorama

Encounter Hook

The party is investigating a series of disappearances in the Merchant Quarter when a kneeling beggar grabs at the ranger's boot — not for coin, but to press a folded note into his hand. The woman standing beside him stares at the cobblestones, hands clasped, lips moving soundlessly. The note bears the seal of a noble house the party believed destroyed three years ago. The beggars are already shuffling away before anyone thinks to ask their names.

Details

This bundle includes two 32mm scale resin miniatures — Beggar 01 (kneeling male figure with raised arms) and Beggar 02 (standing female figure with clasped hands). Both are supplied unpainted and unassembled where applicable, ready to prime with any standard miniature primer. Compatible with D&D 5e, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPG systems.

Sculpted by Novaminis — a range built around character-first design, where even the most humble figures carry a full story in their silhouette.

Pairs well with city townsfolk and NPC collections and Ravenloft gothic horror campaigns — or explore more from Novaminis.

The cats rolled Perception to find the warmest spot in the studio. Both rolled 20. They have not moved since.
