Beatrice de Clare is no ordinary musician. This extraordinary miniature set captures her mid-performance at a grand piano dripping with gothic detail — ornate scrollwork legs ending in leering skull carvings, an open lid, a candelabra casting shadows across open sheet music, and Beatrice herself seated on a tufted stool, her hair pinned elegantly, her posture composed even as the atmosphere around her is anything but.
