Description

They said the mountain pass was impassable in winter — he shouldered his axe, spat into the snow, and walked in anyway.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This stocky, broad-shouldered dwarf is mid-stride with the confident swagger of someone who has walked into fights twice his size and walked back out again. He carries a heavy axe rested across one shoulder, braided beard cascading down his chest in thick, textured ropes, wearing scale-patterned armour beneath a wide leather belt adorned with a hanging ring and pouches. His expression is gruff and weathered — not quite a scowl, but a look that dares you to say something.

The sculpt is richly detailed throughout: the layered scales of his chest piece, the ornate knotwork etched into the axe head, the curling texture of his wild beard and hair, and the studded greaves at his ankles all reward careful painting. Whether you prefer a classic grey stone palette, a warm amber-and-copper colour scheme, or something altogether more unconventional, this miniature gives the painter plenty of texture and surface variation to work with.

As a character piece, he works equally well as a seasoned player character — a Fighter, Barbarian, or even a gruff Cleric who settles theological disputes with the broad end of an axe — or as a memorable NPC: the veteran mercenary, the dwarven clan elder who still insists on doing the dangerous jobs himself, or the grizzled guide who knows these mountains better than any map.

Suits adventurers who:

  • Want a characterful dwarf miniature with bags of personality and strong painting potential
  • Are building a dwarven warband, highland clan, or mountain-dwelling faction
  • Need a reliable, well-sculpted melee fighter for a player character slot
  • Enjoy display painting and want a sculpt with generous surface detail across armour, beard, and weaponry

Encounter Hook: The party arrives at the entrance to Ironforge Pass to find a lone dwarf seated on a boulder, sharpening his axe with slow, deliberate strokes. He doesn't look up. "Took you long enough," he says. "The ice trolls moved into the second tunnel three days ago. I've been waiting on someone to watch my flank." He finally meets their eyes. "You'll do."
