Description

When the treeline shakes and something vastly larger than a warhorse lumbers into view, the soldiers on the wall stop joking — because no one rides a war-bear unless they mean to end things quickly.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This imposing two-piece mounted miniature pairs a fully plate-armoured knight with a massive bear clad in riveted metal barding. The knight wears a crested great helm and a sweeping cloak, carrying a long lance or polearm across the saddle whilst a round shield is strapped to the bear's flank. The bear itself is the real spectacle — a thick-furred, heavy-limbed brute with a snarling open maw, its body draped in studded armour plates that have clearly seen hard use. Every surface rewards a painter's brush: the deep fur texture across the bear's shoulders and legs, the layered plate on the rider, the riveted detailing on each armour panel, and the billowing cloth of the cloak catching the air behind them.

The miniature sits on a large 51mm decorative base that captures the weight and momentum of the piece perfectly. Both a plain base and a decorative base option are available, along with pre-supported and unsupported file variants — ensuring you get the version that works for your setup. At this scale and complexity, it reads as a Large creature on the tabletop, making it mechanically apt wherever a mounted combatant, cavalry commander, or exotic beast rider is called for.

Equally compelling off the table: the layered detail and clear silhouette make this a rewarding centrepiece painting project, whether you favour a gritty northern colour palette or something more heraldic and vivid.

This miniature suits adventurers who:

  • Run mounted combat encounters and want a visually distinctive cavalry piece
  • Need a warlord, chieftain, or elite knight NPC who arrives with genuine presence
  • Play a Cavalier Fighter, Paladin, or Ranger with an exotic beast companion
  • Want a showpiece painting project with rich fur and armour textures to explore
  • Are building a northern, highland, or wilderness warband for their campaign

Encounter Hook

The party has been hired to track a missing border patrol — but the trail ends abruptly at a tree line scarred with massive claw marks. As they piece together the evidence, the sound of heavy pawfalls announces the patrol's fate: a lone rider in blackened plate, atop a war-bear in full barding, blocking the pass ahead. He carries no banner. He wants no parley. He simply levels his lance and waits for someone to make the first move.
