Description

Ancient beyond reckoning, the basilisk does not hunt so much as it waits — and the wilderness around it has learned to stay very, very still.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The basilisk is one of D&D's most iconic natural terrors: a heavily armoured, low-slung predator whose gaze carries a curse older than most civilisations. This sculpt by Monster Atlas captures that prehistoric menace with impressive texture work — rows of ridged scales along the flanks, a broad spiked spine, and a wide-open maw lined with jagged teeth that leaves no doubt about the creature's intentions. Crouched close to the ground on four clawed legs, it conveys both raw power and coiled readiness. This is not a creature that charges — it simply arrives, and things stop moving.

Whether you're running a wilderness hex-crawl, stocking a dungeon complex, or building a display shelf that earns a second glance, this miniature brings genuine presence to the table. The sculpt holds fine detail across the scales and claws, and rewards careful painting — though it reads clearly even unpainted on the board.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a memorable beast encounter for a cave, forest, or ruined temple
  • Are running a low-level D&D arc where natural predators are the real threat
  • Want a showpiece creature for their RPG miniature collection
  • Enjoy painting textured scales and creature sculpts as a painting project

Encounter Hook:
The stonework in this section of the dungeon is oddly smooth — too smooth — and at the far end of the corridor, a dwarf-shaped figure stands frozen mid-stride, mouth open in a silent warning. Something is still here. Something that hasn't fed today.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and base are separate pieces and can be attached with superglue. The decorative base is well worth fitting — the sculpt is designed to sit in relation to it and looks considerably better assembled. Printed in high-quality resin; supports are removed prior to despatch, though minor marks from the printing process may occasionally be present and are easily cleaned up.
