This is pose 01 of the Novaminis Basilisk range, and it means business. Captured mid-lunge with its jaws stretched wide and one massive forelimb reaching forward, this sculpt radiates the brutish, petrifying menace that makes the Basilisk one of D&D's most dreaded encounters. Eight stocky legs, a ridge of jagged dorsal spines, and a hide of overlapping scales give this beast genuine weight and presence — every surface textured with the kind of detail that rewards a careful paint job. The open-mouthed snarl and outstretched claw make it clear this creature hasn't looked at anything for a while, and it's hungry.
Whether you're running a cave encounter deep in the Underdark, a remote mountain trail ambush, or a petrification-themed dungeon crawl, this miniature commands the table. It's equally at home on a collector's shelf — the sculpt holds detail across all angles, as the four-view render shows.
Brought to your table for adventurers who:
- Need a weighty, characterful monster for D&D 5e or other TTRPG systems
- Are building creature collections for Dungeon Masters to deploy across campaigns
- Want a compelling centrepiece for a petrification or cave-dwelling encounter
- Enjoy painting detailed creature sculpts with rich surface texture
- Display fantasy miniatures alongside their gaming collection
Encounter Hook:
The party follows a trail of stone-grey figures into a collapsed mine — a shepherd, a dwarf prospector, a half-orc with one arm raised in warning. At the end of the tunnel, illuminated by a crack of torchlight, something eight-legged shifts its bulk and turns its head slowly in their direction. Make eye contact and the saving throws begin.
Scaled to 32mm and suitable for gaming and display. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Some minor imperfections from the print process are possible; any residual support marks are easily tidied up. Fully cured and ready for priming and painting, or use straight from the box.
